Pandav Fall Khajuraho

Pandav Falls : Up the ghat, and about a kilometre off the main Bamitha to Panna road is a breathtaking waterfall which just after the monsoon rains in the month of October and November, is a joy to see. The step gorge in the hillside brings water from the hiltop cascading down to a great pool below. A fight of steep steps takes you from the car park to the pool where you can picnic and relax. The waterfall gets its name from a local legend that in times gone by the five exiled Pandav brothers of the epic poem Mahabharata visited this region. Remains of caves and shrines that commemorate this legend can be see around the pool below.
