Khajuraho Bandhavgarh Tour

Day 01 : Delhi - Khajuraho
Our tour begins with reaching Khajuraho from Delhi by Shatabdi Train for Jhansi railway station. It is fast and comfortable train that will take you to Jhansi railway station and further journey (200kms/04:00hrs) will be done by taxi car. If you prefer flight then take flight to Khajuraho Airport. On reaching Khajuraho hotel, relax for some time and later come out for temples tour. Khajuraho sightseeing duration is not so long as both group of temples are near to each other. These temples are made with sand-stones during 9th to 11th century by Chandela rulers. Here Western Group of temples is the main sightseeing point which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. For visiting temples, you can hire manual guide to take audio guide service. Guide will properly explain you Khajuraho temples history, Chandela dynasty, art, sculpture work, message from temples etc. During visit you can also do temples photography also. After sunset, you may attend light & sound show which offers you chance to see temples in artificial light or moon light and heard about these temples.

Day 02 : Khajuraho - Bandhavgarh
In this day we will complete the Khajuraho tour and drive to Bandhavgarh national park (250kms/05:30hrs). Begin the day with local market visit of Khajuraho and later drive to Raneh water fall which is about 20kms from Khajuraho. It is a natural site where water fall forms on Ken river. Later take lunch at Khajuraho and then drive to Bandhavgarh. Khajuraho is located on rocky and arid region where availability of water is not good but once we begin drive towards Bandhavgarh in South-East direction, we will notice geographical changes. Their land will be more fertile, more trees, healthy water sources. By evening you will reach your resort in Bandhavgarh. Take dinner at Bandhavgarh and do necessary preparations for next day early morning safari. You are expected to be ready for Jungle safari at 5:00Hrs. Safari vehicle picks & drop you from & to your resort.

Day 03 : Bandhavgarh
Begin the day with morning jungle safari. Get ready with your identity proof (passport, Voter-Id, PAN Card, Driving Liscence etc.),camera, binocular, cap, sun-glasses etc. Safari vehicle you pick-up you from resort and move to entrance gate for guide allotment and other paper formalities. Morning temperature in jungle often remain cool to dressed yourself properly. Do not carry any mobile-phone during safari. Bandhavgarh forest was private property of Baghel rulers till 1968. It was used as private hunting reserve and royal family members use to do hunting for pleasure and entertainment. First white tiger of India was found in this jungle which was captured and used for breeding programs. Here tiger density is high which enhances the probability to spot tigers in wild. In Bandhavgarh, terrain is more hilly with small size of meadows so sighting of other mammals like Spotted deer, Sambar, Blue Bull, Sloth Bear, Wild Boar, Wild Dog etc. is normal due to bushes or hilly terrains. Tiger is favorite of this jungle. Health and physique of Bandhavgarh tigers is best in compare to tigers of nearby national parks which makes them more attractive. Attend second safari in evening.

Day 04 : Bandhavgarh
In this day we will continue our wildlife safaris. Tiger sighting is often a matter of luck so it is expected from guest to enjoy jungle in all the way but knowing about trees, birds, reptiles as everything inside forest is new for us and created curiosity in our mind. In Bandhavgarh, forest is divided into safari zones with limited entry tickets. One zone allotted for each safari round. Commonly seen Bandhavgarh birds are: Pond Herons, Kingfishers, Blue Jay, Eagrets, Open bill storks, Little Grebe, Shikra, Barheaded Goose, Large Cormorant, Common Teal, Crested Hawk Eagle etc.

Day 05 : Bandhavgarh - Departure
In this day we will wind-up our tour and drive to nearest airport at Jabalpur city (190kms/04:00hrs) or nearby railway station options like Umaria (37kms/45min.)/Katni (100kms/02:30hrs)
