Orchha Jhansi Tour

Day 01: Arrival - Orchha

Tour package begins with arrival at Jhansi railway station. It is the best option for visiting Orchha. On reaching Jhansi railway station, taxi will take you to your hotel in Orchha town (20kms/30mins). Relax for some time and later proceed for Orchha sightseeing. It is a small township, located on bank of Betwa river. Here fort complex is one of the most prominent building which includes Jahangir palace in it. It is located in an island, connected through main land by bridge. Here almost all the monuments & buildings are associated with Bundela dynasty. Fort is setup using both Muslim & Hindu building architecture. Here emperor Jahangir stayed for single night thus palace name was given as Jehangir palace. Later after sunset, we have option to attend evening arti.

Day 02: Orchha

Begin the day with pre breakfast, morning walk at Betwa river bank. Visit the Orchha wildlife sanctuary to do photography of Orchha cenotaphs along with Betwa river. Best Orchha photography is possible from this sanctuary thus highly recommended. Here animal sighting chances are rare. After breakfast, visit to Ram Raja temple, Laxmi Narayan temple and Chaturbhuj temple. They are main temples to visit. After lunch, visit to Orchha cenotaphs. Today also use guide service to understand about Laxminarayan temple mural paintings, how Orchha became kingdom of Lord Rama, about various cenotaphs.

Day 03: Orchha - Jhansi - Departure

After taking breakfast, do Khajuraho temples sightseeing. These temples were built under the rule of Chandela dynasty in between 9th to 11th century. First visit Western group of temples and later visit Eastern group of temples. Here Western group of temples is large and well maintained. Here Hindu & Jain temples are present in which prominent ones are Kandariya Mahadev Temple, Laxmana Temple, Chitragupta Temple, Nandi Mandap, Varah Mandap, Vishvanath. Later drive to Khajuraho Airport or Jhansi railway station for departure. Temple.
