Orchha Khajuraho Tour

Day 01 : Arrival - Orchha

Tour package begins with arrival at Jhansi railway station. It is the best option for reaching Orchha. On reaching Jhansi railway station, taxi will take you to your hotel in Orchha town (20kms/30mins). Relax for some time and later proceed for Fort visit. It is located on island of Betwa river and was prominent building in Orchha. Here almost all the monuments & buildings are associated with Bundela dynasty. Orchha fort is also know as Jehangir fort, is erected in honor of Mughal Emperor Jahangir when he was on visit of Bundelkhand region. Fort is setup using both Muslim & Hindu building architecture. Here emperor Jahangir stayed for single night. Later visit riverside cenotaphs of Bundela Kings & royal family members. Evening at leisure. You can attend evening sound & light show or evening arti at Ram Raja temple.

Day 02 : Orchha - Khajuraho

Begin the day with morning walk. Orchha is good for walk as it is less crowded and walking across the river gives you good feeling with fresh air. On crossing the Betwa river, through bridge, we can visit Orchha wildlife sanctuary. You can enter into wildlife sanctuary and do nature photography and enjoy scenic view of Orchha cenotaphs across the Betwa river. It is the best view of Orchha. When water level is appropriate, you can also do river rafting (subject to water level) here. Later after breakfast, we will visit to famous Laxminarayan temple. It mural paintings are main attraction. Later in afternoon, drive to Khajuraho. Belt from Orchha to Khajuraho is part of Bundelkhand region which is a dry region with less greenery and water sources with sandstone rocky region. On reaching Khajuraho just relax at hotel.

Day 03 : Khajuraho

In this day, we will do Khajuraho sightseeing. In this part, we will begin the day with morning sightseeing. Take early breakfast so that we can reach Western group of temples in time. Visiting them at early morning have best advantage to get best photographs when early sunlight falls on temples entrance gate. All these temples are east facing this morning is the appropriate time for sightseeing and photography. Later visit to eastern group of temples. You may also explore southern group of temples and Yogini temple. Khajuraho have important place in Madhya Pradesh tourism and its images represent the state tourism.

Day 04: Khajuraho - Departure

This will be our last day of tour package. As per time in hand, we have option to attend morning jungle safari drive at Panna national park (40km) in Madhya Pradesh. It is a popular tiger safari & wildlife photography destination. If not interested, then visit to Raneh fall (24km, Wed. closed) or Pandav fall (45km). We should plan this day in such a way that we should return back till check-out time and leave the hotel room. Later we will do the check-out and drive to Khajuraho airport or railway station for departure. You may also take departure from Jhansi or Mahoba or Satna railway station.
